Sonesta Select Arlington Rosslyn

Beds were a bit high for the kids to jump up onto. But No complaints the Beds were really comfortable. Location proximity to local food spots and a Target were really good - a little bit of a walk to the train which was our family's primary mode of transport to sights. Liked having a fridge in the room to store some dairy products/snacks. Liked the surrounds - relatively quiet. Having access to the laundry facilities was also useful.

The location near the Rosslyn Metro station was perfect for getting around the Washington DC attractions. The rooms were remodeled and comfortable. We were able to get a room with two queen beds as requested for our family. We filled our water bottles from the gym water dispenser. It also dispenses hot water if you need it for tea or prepackaged oatmeal from the nearby Safeway! We had a refrigerator in the room so we stocked up on items from the grocery store. There is a microwave in Sonesta’s store with sundries in the lobby if you want to heat up some food. The lobby was like a large living room so if you had a bigger group you could relax together on the couches by the fireplace. Games were available too. The large gym was well appointed with elliptical and treadmill machines. There were also free weights and a weight machines. A stretching area offered mats and weighted balls. I worked out and was able to perform my entire routine.

We stay here frequently. It's always clean and the staff is pleasant. However, the room had an odor...body odor mixed with old shoes?? On this trip,at check-in, we found out the water would be shut off at 9am the next morning! I would have appreciated a warning e-mail etc.! They did provide breakfast as a consolation. It was awful! We went someplace else. They also provided a port-a-potty. Yippee! Normally, we like this place. So, we will return in hopes of our usual experience!

Location. Proximity to Arlington National Cemetery, which was the reason for our visit.

The staff were helpful, courteous, and if I may say- almost protective of us. I had the feeling that they were watching out for us as much as they were attending to us. We had a pleasant, comfortable stay and it was a very convenient location to Arlington Cemetery, as we were in town for a relative's inurnment at Arlington. The beds are most excellent! Very comfortable!
